Great birding at the Fishfarm in Katima

Great birding at the Fishfarm in Katima

While waiting for Vincent’s new passport to arrive, we stayed with our friends in Katima. We saw lots of beautiful birds and got very excited to witness the hard life off a specific thick-billed weaver.
We watched him building his nest with great care, finding a female partner, enduring to see her breaking down some parts of the house she did not like, rebuilding until she was satisfied, 2 minutes pleasure (?), modifying the nest for breeding, feeding his partner and becoming a dad.
The picture above shows him waiting in anticipation for her approval!
