We camped a few days at the Canyon Roadhouse and enjoyed the classic old timers scattered in the garden as well as in the restaurant.

The old watermill still does its work the traditional way, leading water from the Orange River to the vineyards.
The Stone Church was completed in 1831 and is the oldest existing mission church still in use north of the Orange River. Reverend Robert Moffat and Doctor David Livingstone also held services here.
